Armenia has its own unique Easter celebrations and traditions. Easter is one of the brightest holidays of the Armenian Apostolic Church. It is a moveable holiday, the day of the celebration is not fixed and each year it is different. It is always celebrated from 22 March to 26 April (35 days).
Easter is also known as Surb Zatik.
Visiting church, funny games, colorful eggs, bread, greens make Armenian Easter very enjoyable.
Another interesting tradition is coloring of eggs. Easter eggs are dyed red using the traditional method of using red onion skins – representing the blood of Christ. A favorite egg-tapping game is played by children and adults. You hold a hard-boiled egg upright, the other person holds their egg upright, and you tap their egg. If you crack the other person’s eggshell first without breaking your own, you win and get their egg. You keep doing this until the person with the most eggs wins. All the children play this game.
Armenians cook rice with raisins where rice is the symbol of the humanity, and raisins represent all Christians.
The easter table also includes Armenian fish Ishkhan and red wine, which symbolize the flesh and blood of Christ.
The most popular bread for Easter is Chorek. It is a sweet bread. It’s especially loved by kids. Chorek is a rather sweet and puff bread, that’s why it’s not an everyday dish, but is made once a year, during Easter.

Մենք ածականների համեմատական և գերադրական աստիճանները ցույց տալու համար միավանկ ածականներին ավելացնում ենք ‘-er’ , և ‘-est’:
small(փոքր) – smaller(ավելի փոքր) – the smallest(ամենափոքր)
‘ier’ և ‘-iest’ ավելացնում ենք ‘y’-ով վերջացող երկվանկանի ածականներին, երբ ‘y’-ից առաջ ունենք բաղաձայն: Այս դեպքում ‘y’-ը դուրս է գալիս:
happy(ուրախ) – happier(ավելի ուրախ) – the happiest(ամենաուրախ)
Բազմավանկ ածականների համեմատական աստիճանը կազմում ենք՝ օգտագործելով ‘more’: (beautiful – more beautiful :գեղեցիկ-ավելի գեղեցիկ), իսկ գերադրականը՝ ‘the most’-ի օգնությամբ: ( beautiful– the most beautiful:ամենագեղեցիկ).
Springbok, a medium-sized species of gazelle native to southwestern Africa, are extremely fast runners as well as incredible jumpers. They are able to leap up to 13 feet or 4 meters through the air! Springbok can run up to 62 miles or 100 kilometers per hour, which is good since they need that speed to evade lions, whose favorite food they are.

Wildebeest are large hooved mammals native to Africa. The wildebeest uses its speed to run from predators, especially lions- at about 50 miles or 80 kilometers per hour-whice, unfortunately for the wildebeest, is exactly the same speed a lion can reach.

The jackrabbit is a type of wild hare found in the western parts of North America. Its strong hind legs allow it to leap up to 20 feet or 6 meters in a single bound! The jackrabbit uses a combination of zig-zags and leaps to outrun predators. At top speed, jackrabbits can reach 45 miles or 72 kilometers per hour.
